Apple Orange Salad

As you guys know I am a vegetarian but I wasn’t one since childhood. By the way, India is home to the largest number of vegetarians in the world. A vast majority of population is vegetarian by birth including my husband. However in my family we used to eat meat when I was little. Our meat though was restricted to chicken and fish only and that too once in 2 months or so. I was never fond of meat, I always loved my veggies more and used to eat meat only because it was made in my house. Once I grew up and had the option to take my own decisions, I decided to become a vegetarian. This was 13 years back and I can safely say that since then I have never missed eating meat, not even for a single day. It was easy for me since I never loved it but I can see it would be so tough for people to give it up if they are fond of it.

We all know that plant based protein is better for not only your body but also for the planet. Did you know that reducing your meat intake just 1 day a week can have a considerable impact on your health? It increases life expectancy while reducing the risk of heart disease, cancer, obesity and diabetes. The problem with meat-lovers is though they want to eat #meatless they just can’t do without some meat in their food. Well if you want to enjoy your recipes and still eat meatless once in a while, then I have the perfect solution for you – Gardein.
