Mini Fruit Tarts

Seattle’s weather has been literally playing hide and seek with us. Some day it’s so warm and nice and the very next day it’s super cold and raining. I mean seriously what’s up with the weather? I really want to pack my jackets and sweaters, it’s May now! The good news though is that it’s super nice today and I hope it stays this way in the coming weeks.

Roasted Cauliflower Soup

Oh my god you guys, I had absolutely the worst time in the kitchen yesterday. It was like whatever I touched, turned into a disaster. Cooked vegetables fell on the ground, onion got burnt [jet black!], spilled honey on kitchen counter and so on. I was so drained out by the end of it, that I did not even have the enthusiasm or patience to click pictures of the food.

Palmiers

When life throws you some puff pastry, you obviously make palmiers! Yay! Well at least that is what I did after I made this puff pastry dough. The fact is that I wanted to use my homemade puff pastry as soon as possible and didn’t want to slog in the kitchen for hours. You know as much as I love my time in the kitchen, there are days when I want to create something quick. And so when I made this puff pastry, the first thing I could think of was these little beautiful treats called palmiers.
