grilled cauliflower tacos

Do you guys love Asian food? Personally, I am a huge fan! I pretty much love everything about it, the flavors are amazing and I also love the fact that there are so many vegetarian options. I love cooking Asian food at home but more often than not I do not have the ingredients for the recipes. You would imagine that a food blogger would have just about any ingredients in her pantry and while I do have a lot of stuff, sometimes there will be this one ingredient required for the recipe, and I just wouldn’t have that particular one! Sounds familiar?

If it does, then I have a solution for you – P.F. Chang’s® Home Menu Sauces!

These sauces come in three flavors – Sesame, Kung Pao and Teriyaki and they are all packed with so much flavor and make Asian cooking so easy! I made these Kung Pao Grilled Cauliflower Tacos using the Kung Pao sauce and I literally had to do add nothing else to the recipe. The sauce was enough to bring in all the flavors needed for the recipe. Isn’t it amazing? The sauces make Asian cuisine simple and easy to cook at home for everyone.

I discovered these sauces at my recent visit to Walmart. They sure looked interesting and because I love Asian food so much, I couldn’t resist giving them a try. And I am so glad I did! Ever since I bought these sauces, I have used them in a number of recipes including the the grilled cauliflower tacos that I am sharing with you today. Grilling season is far from over and so I thought it would be a good idea to share an easy grilling recipe with you guys.

For these grilled tacos, you first marinate the cauliflower and peppers with P.F. Chang’s® Kung Pao Sauce, let it fir for a bit and then grill the veggies till done. Once done, you toss them with some roasted peanuts, spring onion greens and more kung pao sauce. It really is that simply. Minimal ingredients and one delicious summer recipe which gets done in no time!

I served these with sliced avocados and lime wedges. You may use sour cream or any cheese you like. Guacamole on top would be fantastic too. Enjoy the grilling season and don’t forget to make these tacos!

Method

Place cauliflower florets and diced peppers in a ziplock bag.

Add 1/2 cup P.F. Chang’s® kung pao sauce to the bag. Mix till all the veggies are coated with the sauce. Place the bag inside the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

Grill the veggies till they are soft and done.

Transfer to a wok and toss with roasted peanuts and spring onion greens. At this point you may also add more of the kung pao sauce for extra flavor. Warm the tortillas, place the grilled kung pao cauliflower and top with avocado slices or guacamole and serve.

* Prep time includes resting time of 20 minutes.

Find the new P.F. Chang’s® sauces at your local Walmart. You can find them in the Asian food aisle. What will you guys make with these sauces? Let me know! Find delicious inspiration here.

  1. Wow! These look amazing! These sauces are delicious. I love cauliflower and I’m always looking for new ways to use it, I will have to try this! (client)

  2. Oh man, I totally know the feeling about missing that one key ingredients. It’s like, “How do I have ALL of these spices/ingredients…and still don’t have THAT one??” Haha! We do enjoy making Asian food at home occasionally, and I definitely need to try that sauce. It sounds delicious…and I love the cauliflower taco idea to keep it vegetarian! 🙂

  3. I adore kung pao flavour! Had kung pao chicken, tofu and fish before…but have never thought of making kung pao cauliflower…what a fantastic idea!
