Easy Lemon Rice is a popular rice dish from South India. This dish is tangy, crunchy and so flavorful. Pair with pickle or papadum for a delicious meal.

This Lemon Rice

Ingredients

- rice - water - salt - lemon juice - urad dal (dhuli) - chana dal - oil - peanuts - mustard seeds - curry leaves - green chili - turmeric powder - pinch hing

Rinse rice until water turns clear. Then transfer to a pressure cooker with 1.5 cups water. Cook on high heat for 2 to 3 whistles.

Step by Step Instructions

Meanwhile soak urad dal and chana dal in water for 10 to 15 minutes as the rice cooks. Then drain the water from the dals and set aside.

Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and transfer to a large bowl and let it cool down. Then add the salt.
