2tablespoonschocolate syrup+ more to drizzle on top
2cupsmilkcold
whipped creamfor serving
Instructions
Warm 1/4 cup milk in a pan on the stove-top (or microwave it), you don't need to boil it but warm it. Then transfer it to a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of instant coffee to it. Since the milk is warm, the coffee dissolves quickly and easily.
Now, add sugar to taste, around 1 to 2 tablespoons. Add 2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and stir until everything is combined using a wire whisk.
Now, add 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup. Using a wire whisk, mix until everything is well combined. Set this aside.
To a blender, add 2 cups of cold milk (of choice). Add the prepared coffee and chocolate mixture to it. Add a few ice cubes if you want.Blend until it's all well combined and frothy.
Pour your iced mocha into glasses. Top with whipped cream if desired. You can also drizzle some chocolate syrup on top before serving.
Notes
Consider adding a scoop of vanilla or coffee ice cream to take this a notch up. It will make the perfect summer treat.
You can make the coffee and chocolate mixture in advance and chill in the fridge. This way you will have it ready to use whenever you want to have iced mocha.
You can easily double this recipe and make 4 servings.
Make sure the milk that you use is cold and straight out of the refrigerator.
