If there’s one salsa you must try this summer, then this should be it!

One of my favorite things about summer is our local farmers market. It starts towards the end of May and you can be quite sure to find me there every Saturday.

I love the local produce and the fact that you can buy such fresh vegetables and fruits from the farmers themselves is just awesome!

We usually eat our Saturday breakfast/brunch at the farmer’s market, it’s like a routine. And along with the food, I get a lot of summer produce. This week I got strawberries, lots of it.

And since I already had mangoes in abundance in the house (as always!), I decided to make this Strawberry Mango Salsa. This turned out so good! I could not stop eating it!

This salsa is sweet with just the perfect touch of spice. It is important to use ripe mangoes here. The sour ones will not taste good. I made sure both my fruits were quite sweet.

If you use mangoes/strawberries which are not sweet, you may consider adding 1-2 teaspoons of honey. I didn’t add anything since my mangoes were super sweet.

This strawberry mango salsa is pretty simple with only 6 ingredients. You only need 10 minutes to make this.

And once you have made it, you can use it pretty much on everything. It is great with chips (I can tell because I ate a lot of it!) but you also put in on top of roasted burger patties, in tacos and burritos or eat it with a spoon.

I actually ate the entire bowl with a spoon! You can do that too, no judging! šŸ˜‰

How to Make Strawberry Mango Salsa

Gather all your ingredients and dice/chop them – mangoes, strawberries, onion, jalapeƱo, cilantro and lime.

Add the diced mangoes, strawberries and onions to a large bowl. Also add the finely chopped cilantro and jalapeƱo.

Add in the juice of 1 large lime and mix well. Add salt to taste and mix. At this point it’s a good idea to let the salsa rest for 15 to 20 minutes. The flavors combine and the salsa tastes better when you do this.
