Hot Chocolate with Orange

Hello everyone! How is you week going so far? I hope everyone is having fun and enjoying the holiday season. I am out on a vacation with hubby and friends. I did snowboarding for the first time today and fell down so many times! It was crazy but good fun. We are still here for a day and then go to Vegas! How I love that city, so excited to be there always!

So before my vacation I worked overtime in my kitchen so that I have recipes to share with my readers while I am away. Is there anything more wonderful than hot chocolate during this time of the year? We all love to curl up in a bed with a hot cuppa of hot chocolate and what makes it even better? Oranges. Yes orange and chocolate are wonderful together and you don’t know what you have been missing out in life if you haven’t had a warm Orange Hot Chocolate before.

Rich Orange Hot Chocolate

Orange adds a nice citrus flavor to your hot chocolate and makes it really special. And special is what you need for the Holidays, right? It’s like a delicious orange chocolate in form of a hot chocolate. Yum x 100!

To make a creamy cup of hot chocolate, I always prefer using 1/2 cup half & half and 1/2 cup milk however for this recipe, I used only whole milk. Reason? I did not have half & half at home and I was dying to make this drink. If you have half & half use that especially if love creamy and rich hot chocolate.

And while you are at it, check out the other Hot Chocolate recipes on the blog – Pumpkin Spice Dark Hot Chocolate & Creamy Hot Chocolate.

* If you don’t have orange extract, you can also use orange syrup in place. Add and adjust to taste.
